The town of Hyères is situated in the Var region in the south of France. Known for its spas, in 1830 Hyères became the first health resort in the area. Hyères is also remarkable for its passion for botany, with many exotic plants being grown there, including notably a strong presence of palm trees in the town. This particularity earned it the nickname ‘Hyères les Palmiers’, a well-deserved nickname, as today Hyères is the premier exporter of palm trees in Europe. As well as just a botanical town, the town boundaries also take in the equally well-known Hyères Isles. Also known as the ‘Îles d’Or’ (Golden Isles), this archipelago plays a significant role in the tourist appeal that the town of 7000 palm trees enjoys. Choose a boat rental at Hyères to discover this magnificent coastline.
With its four ports and its 2,116 mooring rings, the Hyères port complex is one of the most significant in France. The ports of Saint Pierre and Ayguade are the two biggest, with 1,432 and 411 spaces respectively. On this site, you can find all our rental yachts, open hull boats, day cruisers, or even semi-rigid rental boats in Hyères. Whether your boat rental at Hyères is for a day or a half-day, set sail to discover this area’s unique coastline. Hyères harbour is formed by the Cap Bénat cape in the east, by the Giens peninsula in the west and is protected from the open seas by the Hyères Isles archipelago. The harbour offers an ideal sailing area for the practice of water sports like tubing, wakeboarding or even water skiing. On the coastline of the Cap Bénat cape, you will catch sight of the Fort de Brégançon. This state-owned residence is a holiday home used by the President of France. You will also have the chance to discover the beaches that line the Giens peninsula. Along the peninsula’s coastal path, you can visit Darboussières beach or even the rocky coves of Calanque du Four à Chaux. You can also make the most of your boat rental in Hyères to set sail for the Golden Isles archipelago, the Îles d’Or. This island group is made up of the Île de Porquerolles, the Île du Levant, and the Île de Port Cros, as well as other small islands and islets. The Île de Porquerolles is the largest of the three Hyères Islands, with a surface area of 4.84 mi2 (12.54 km²). These islands are home to a wide range of rare animal and plant species, notably amongst them, the Île de Port Cros, one of France’s national parks, a nature reserve where all of the island’s species are protected.
